Their presence on the national scene is begging to grow, with new fans across the globe due to the internet. In a recent press release's, the group offers their formula for success; "We set out to make music we enjoy and can feel proud of playing music that we like and want to listen to. As soon as you start thinking beyond that, about wanting to keep up with the Jones's or about fitting in with somebody else's format , that's when you lose the map. So we've just done what we do, and tried to have fun doing it." Left Standing has released 3 incredible albums, with their own unique style and sound. In 2005 the group launched their debut release "Life I Stereo", which featured the popular singles "Sorry" and "No One Wins." In 2007 they followed up with the release of "The Living Room Sessions" which included acoustic tracks such as "Holding The Weight" and "American Anthem." Due to such a great response from the acoustic album "The Living Room Sessions", they had to do another acoustic album.."Sacred Sessions"..released August 2012 it's absolutely amazing,. Keep an eye out for it

Paladin radio breaking artist Famoe

The Man - Fabiano Montesano alias Famoe Fabiano Montesano,
born March-28-1987, is Famoe - an Italian from Germany who raps in English. “You’ll never make it”, was all he used to hear ever since he started doing song covers as well as performing his own interpretations.
Famoe has proved over time however, that he is someone who fights it out, clears the obstacles and therefore achieves the impossible. Famoe’s music also describes the hurdles of life which he has had to overcome.
The commentaries in his songs refer to his everyday life and the sacrifices he has had to make for his music. At the same time however, the tracks also reflects his lust for life. From a cosmopolitan life living in countries such as Germany, Italy & USA and working with big names like “Dru Hill” & “G-Unit”,
Famoe was exposed to an enormous range of music styles. His newest Album “Xplicit” contains modern RNB Songs as well many dance tracks. The many different feature-artists
such as Hot Rod & Spider Loc from “G-unit”, Scola from “Dru Hill”, Shai, Serius Jones and many more all combined to give the album a distinct, varied and sometimes experimental sound.
Now Famoe is workin on his new Album "Past, Present, Future" and a new Mixtape “Road 2 Success” with big names on it that will be released on April-May-2012.

your personal change the world kit‏

Paladin radio listeners

Every day we hear stories of injustice, violence and corruption that infuriate, frighten and sadden us. And every day Avaaz considers the battles our community can best take on and fight together to win. But Avaaz staff can only drive a few campaigns at a time and that means there are a huge number of local, national and global issues that do not get the attention they deserve.

Here's the solution -- we all start a campaign about something we care about. It's super easy!

These new simple allow anyone to start a petition, tell friends, and win campaigns. Just imagine the change we can make if we all start our own petitions and support each others causes! Click to start a petition now -- it's super quick and easy:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/petition/start_a_petition/?cl=2281686906&v=20130

Since this new tool launched this year, more than 20,000 Avaaz members around the world have started campaigns of their own -- and time after time, we’re winning!

17-year old Leona started a campaign with Avaaz to stop an onslaught of polluting salmon farms from fouling a protected marine area near her home. When thousands from across the country signed on, a New Zealand paper wrote that the petition “highlights overwhelming public opposition” and made it an issue the politicians couldn't ignore.

And after his brother killed himself, Shanker, from India, launched a desperate plea to free the other 100 workers trapped by an abusive employer in Bahrain. When thousands signed Shanker’s petition, the public pressure mounted, and The Times of India wrote that Shanker’s “lone voice earning support from thousands on the internet” helped rescue the stranded workers.

There are now 17 million of us in Avaaz. The power is now in all our hands -- take a few minutes and get the next great Avaaz campaign off the ground:

This weeks #1 song Bruno Mars Locked out of heaven

Locked Out Of Heaven

Bruno Mars
Locked Out of Heaven

..from the album Locked Out Of Heaven (2012)

Song Info

The Locked Out Of Heaven Songfacts states that during his Google + Hangout on the day of the song‘s release, Mars was asked by a fan to name his favorite lyrics from the track. Mars picked the phrase "But swimming in your water is something spiritual," and later said that the single's exploration of feeling and being in love fits into the "sensual, sensual and sensual" theme of the album.

Artist Info

Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985 in Waikiki, Hawaii), better known by his stage name Bruno Mars, is a Filipino-Puerto Rican American singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist signed to Atlantic Records. He is most well known for his hit Just The Way You Are, which went #1 in 9 countries in 2010. He is also known for singing/co-writing the hooks for the #1 hit Nothin' On You by B.o.B, and Billionaire by Travie McCoy; he also co-wrote the international hits Right Round by Flo Rida and Wavin' Flag by K'naan.

After the success of the songs he featured on, Mars released his debut EP, It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, in May 2010.

He then released his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, on October 5th, which features special guest appearances from B.o.B, Cee-Lo Green, and Damian Marley. The lead single, Just the Way You Are, was released on July 19, 2010. The second single off the album, Grenade, was released on September 2010 as a promotional single but was eventually shifted to official second single. The It Will Rain Songfacts reports that in 2011 he recorded "It Will Rain," the lead single from the soundtrack to the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. It was released exclusively on iTunes September 27, 2011.

Bruno Mars was born and raised in the Waikiki neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii by parents Pete and Bernadette "Bernie" Hernandez, of Puerto Rican and Filipino descent. Hernandez was one of six children and came from a musical family giving him a diverse mix of reggae, rock, hip hop, and R&B. From a young age, he was impersonating and performing songs by artists such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, The Isley Brothers, and The Temptations. In 1990, Hernandez was featured in MidWeek as "Little Elvis", going on to have a cameo in Honeymoon in Vegas in 1992. "I watch the best. I'm a big fan of Elvis. I'm a big fan of 1950s Elvis when he would go on stage and scare people because he was a force and girls would go nuts! You can say the same thing for Prince or The Police. It's just guys who know that people are here to see a show, so I watch those guys and I love studying them because I'm a fan," he stated.

In 2010 he said, "Growing up in Hawaii made me the man I am. I used to do a lot of shows in Hawaii with my father's band. Everybody in my family sings, everyone plays instruments. My uncle's an incredible guitar player, my dad's an incredible percussionist, my brother's a great drummer, he actually plays in our band. I've just been surrounded by it." He attended President Theodore Roosevelt High School, graduating in 2003 at the age of seventeen, and shortly after moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a musical career.

Before becoming a successful solo artist, Hernandez was an acknowledged music producer, writing songs for Alexandra Burke, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Brandy, and Sean Kingston, as well as Flo Rida's international hit "Right Round". He also co-wrote the Sugababes' hit song "Get Sexy" and provided backing vocals on their album Sweet 7. His first musical appearance as a singer was in Far East Movement's second studio album Animal, featured on the track "3D". He reached prominence as a solo artist after being featured on and co-writing B.o.B's "Nothin' on You" and Travie McCoy's "Billionaire"; both songs peaked within the top ten of many charts worldwide. He said of them, "I think those songs weren't meant to be full-sung songs. If I'd sung all of "Nothin' on You", it might've sounded like some '90s R&B." Following this success, Mars released his debut extended play (EP), titled It's Better If You Don't Understand, on May 11, 2010. The EP peaked at the ninety-ninth position on the Billboard 200 and produced one single: "The Other Side", featuring rappers Cee Lo Green and B.o.B. He performed a medley of "Nothin' on You" and "Airplanes" with B.o.B and Hayley Williams at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12, 2010.

He opened for Maroon 5 on the fall leg of the Hands All Over Tour which began on October 6, 2010. Mars also co-headlined with Travie McCoy on a European tour that started on October 18, 2010.

On September 19, 2010, Mars was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine. He claims "he has never used drugs before" and his decision was "foolish".

He has been nominated for seven 2011 Grammy Awards.

Warning signs‏

Paladin radio listeners

Instead of seeing warning signs, big oil and the government are seeing dollar signs in the melting Arctic.

There’s still time to stop the drilling, but we need 295 supporters from your state to raise $100,000 by our December 31 deadline to make it happen.

Can you chip in to help save polar bear cubs from starvation?

A polar bear cub struggles to keep up with its mom. She’s searching for sea ice to hunt for food, but the swim is too far. The cub doesn’t make it. It was a common story this year in the Arctic.

Soon there might be nowhere left to swim. This year Arctic sea ice reached its lowest level in recorded history and if current trends continue there could be no summer sea ice at all in the next decade.

But instead of seeing warning signs in the melting ice, big oil and the government are seeing dollar signs. Shell has been given permits to drill in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas of the Arctic. If we burn the oil under the Arctic, it will spell the end for the polar bear.

Please make a year-end gift right now and help us raise $100,000 by midnight December 31 to save polar bear cubs from a melting Arctic. We need just 295 donors from your state to make this happen.

We have to stop the drilling before it’s too late.

Shell’s plans have already been put on hold until next year thanks to Mother Nature, the company’s own incompetence and the success of our global campaign. Now is our opportunity to make sure they don’t get the chance to go back.

In the last week alone we’ve flooded the White House with over 50,000 messages asking President Obama to suspend Shell’s drilling permits and call a ‘timeout’ on Arctic drilling. Now we need your financial support to ramp up our campaign around the world calling for the creation of a global sanctuary in the high Arctic.

Polar bears need our help now. Please make an urgent donation by our midnight December 31 deadline to help save polar bear cubs from starvation and support all the work we do to protect the environment. Just 295 gifts from your state will ensure that we reach our goal of raising $100,000 by the end of the year.

We’re running a worldwide campaign to create a sanctuary in the uninhabited area around the North Pole off limits to industrialization. And this spring we’ll be leading an expedition to the North Pole and planting a ‘Flag for the Future’ there. The flag will send a message of peace, hope and global community and will be designed by the world’s youth as part of an international competition. A stark contrast to the flags planted by nation states fighting over the exploitation of resources.

We’ll also be taking a time capsule to the North Pole containing the names of the over two million people who added their name to our Arctic Scroll. Once there, we will lower it four kilometers beneath the ice and plant it on the seabed as a symbol for all humanity.

None of this is possible without your support. Please make a year-end gift today to help save polar bears cubs once and for all, protect the environment and ensure that we reach our goal of $100,000 by December 31.

Greenpeace is completely independent. We don’t take a dime from corporations or governments. That means we can do whatever is needed to protect the environment. It also means we completely rely on donors like you making a gift today to support all of our campaigns.

Thanks for all you do,

Philip Radford
Greenpeace USA Executive Director

P.S. We need just need to reach $100,000 goal before December 31. Make your urgent year-end gift on our secure website or at 1-800-722-6995 today and save polar bear cubs from Arctic drilling.

Save the internet take action now

Paladin radio Listener

Authoritarian regimes are pushing for governmental control over the internet in a binding global treaty. If they succeed, the internet could become less open, more costly and much slower. We've stopped threats like this before, and we can again -- but only with a massive global outcry. Sign the petition and share with everyone you know:

Click here to sign the petition now!
Right now at a UN meeting in Dubai, authoritarian regimes are pushing for full governmental control of the Internet in a binding global treaty -- if they succeed, the internet could become less open, more costly and much slower. We have only 2 days to stop them.

The Internet has been an amazing example of people power -- allowing us to connect, speak out and pressure leaders like never before. That's largely because it's been governed to date by users and non-profits and not governments. But now countries like Russia, China and United Arab Emirates are trying to rewrite a major telecom treaty called the ITR to bring the Internet under its control -- the web would then be shaped by government interests and not by us, the users. Tim Berners Lee, one of the "fathers of the Internet," has warned that this could increase censorship online and invade our privacy. But if we object with a massive people-powered petition, we can strengthen the hand of countries fighting this power grab.

We have stopped attacks like this before and can do it again before the treaty text is locked this week. A wave of opposition to a new ITR is already building -- sign the petition to tell governments hands off our Internet! and then forward this email to everyone you know -- when we hit 1 million signers, it'll be delivered straight to the delegates at this cozy meeting:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/hands_off_our_internet_i/?bHWUidb&v=20029

The meeting to update the ITR (International Telecommunication Regulations) is being convened by a UN body called the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Normally, it wouldn't merit much attention, but Russia, China, Saudi Arabia and others are trying to use the meeting to increase government control of the Internet through proposals that would allow for access to be cut off more easily, threaten privacy, legitimize monitoring and traffic-blocking, and introduce new fees to access content online.

At the moment, our Internet has no central regulatory body, but various non-profit organisations work together to manage different technological, commercial and political interests to allow the Internet to run. The current model is certainly not without its flaws. US dominance and corporate influence highlight the need for reform, but changes should not be dictated from an opaque governments-only treaty body. They should emerge from an open and transparent, people-powered process -- putting the interests of us users in the center.

The ITU does extremely important work -- expanding affordable access for poor countries and securing networks -- but it's not the right place to make changes to how the Internet operates. Let's ensure that our Internet stays free and governed by the public and show the ITU and the world that we won’t stay silent in the face of this Internet attack. Click below to sign and then share this email widely:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/hands_off_our_internet_i/?bHWUidb&v=20029

Avaaz members have come together before to save the free web -- and won. More than 3 million of us demanded the US kill a bill that would have given the government the right to shut down any website, helping push the White House to drop its support. In the EU, the European Parliament responded after 2.8 million of us called on them to drop ACTA, another threat to the free net. Together, now we can do it again.

With hope,

Pascal, Ian, Paul, Luca, Caroline, Ricken, Kya and the rest of the Avaaz team

Help Save the Arctic donate today

Paladin radio listeners

The federal government has opened up polar bear habitat for oil drilling in the Arctic.

There’s still time to stop the drilling, but we need 347 supporters from your state to raise $100,000 by our December 31 deadline to make it happen.

Join Greenpeace today and help save polar bear cubs.

The booming noise from drilling is so loud and confusing, it could lead a polar bear mom to abandon her cubs. Alone and starving, a baby polar bear would have little chance of survival.

An oil spill would be even worse. One single spill could completely destroy the fragile Arctic Ocean ecosystem forever — leaving her with no food for herself or her cubs.

Sadly, this hasn’t stopped the federal government from issuing permits allowing Shell to drill in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas of the Arctic. If the noise doesn’t kill polar bear cubs, an oil spill certainly would. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to make a gift to Greenpeace, this is it. We can’t do this without you.

Please donate now and help us raise $100,000 by midnight December 31 to save polar bear cubs from Arctic drilling. We need just 347 donors from your state to make this happen.

There’s still time to stop the drilling before it starts in 2013.

Shell’s plans to drill in the Arctic were put on hold until next year thanks to Mother Nature, the company’s own incompetence and the success of our global campaign to save the Arctic. However, we know the oil giant will be back to try again next year.

That’s why we’re prepared to do whatever it takes — from fighting them in court to engaging in creative campaigns around the world — to get the permits suspended and prevent Shell from drilling in the Arctic. But, we simply can’t do this without you.

Polar bears need our help now. Please make an urgent donation by our midnight December 31 deadline to help save polar bear cubs from starvation and support all the work we do to protect the environment.
Just 347 gifts from your state will ensure that we reach our goal to raise $100,000 by the end of the year.

How are we going to stop Shell’s Arctic drilling? We’re working now to put pressure on the White House calling for the President to suspend Shell’s drilling permits and call a ‘timeout’ on Arctic drilling. And we’ll be launching a global effort soon to get world leaders and dignitaries to show their support for the creation of a global sanctuary in the high Arctic by signing onto our ‘Arctic declaration.’ Hopefully, this work leads to an Arctic resolution being tabled at the UN in 2014.

Together we can make a global sanctuary in the high Arctic a reality. A place off-limits to industrialization and protected forever. Making this dream a reality is going to require significant financial resources. None of us can stop Arctic drilling on our own, but together, people power makes incredible things possible.

Please make a donation today to help save polar bears cubs and ensure that we reach our goal to raise $100,000 by December 31.

All of our campaigns rely on your support. Together, we can make sure that polar bear moms and their cubs don’t have to worry about the deadly noise from drilling or the possibility of a catastrophic spill.

Thank you for all you do,

Philip Radford

Greenpeace USA Executive Director

#1 song this week Diamonds Rihana

Unapologetic

Rihanna
Diamonds
from the album Unapologetic (2012)

Song Info

Produced by Stargate and Benny Blanco, "Diamonds" boasts soaring vocals and an undeniable hook. The Diamonds Songfacts reports the song was premiered on September 26, 2012 during Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and was made available for digital download an hour later. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, dated December 1, 2012, released on Thanksgiving day of 2012, "Diamonds" became Rihanna's twelfth number one single on the chart, tying her with Madonna and The Supremes in fifth place for artists with the most number one hits. It also tied her for second place with Madonna for female artists with the same feat. Only Mariah Carey has more, with eighteen number ones. Rihanna also became the female artist to get twelve number one hits the fastest.

“You’re not sad or dancing. You’re happy and hippie. It’s laid-back, but it’s hopeful,” Rihanna told Elvis Duran. “It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect. I’m excited to surprise them sonically.”

Aussie songwriter Sia penned the lyrics, which reference various drugs. “Palms rise to the universe/ As we, moonshine and molly/ Feel the warmth, we’ll never die/ We’re like diamonds in the sky,” sings the Bajan babe, who will launch her “Diamonds World Tour” in March.

Artist Info

Robyn Rihanna Fenty (born February 20, 1988), known by her stage name, Rihanna, is a Bajan singer. Her song Umbrella was one of the highest-selling songs of 2007 and her 3rd album Good Girl Gone Bad was critically acclaimed, helping propel her to superstar status. She has attained twelve Billboard Hot 100 number ones thus far and is the second Bajan artist to win a Grammy Award. She is also a cultural ambassador for Barbados.

Rihanna was born in Saint Michael, Barbados to Ronald Fenty, a warehouse supervisor, and Monica Fenty, an accountant. Her mother, a native of Guyana, is Afro-Guyanese and her father is Bajan and Irish. She is the oldest of three siblings; two younger brothers, Rorrey and Rajad Fenty. She began singing at around the age of seven. Her childhood was deeply affected by her father's addiction to crack cocaine and parent's rocky marriage, which ended when she was fourteen years old. Rihanna attended Charles F. Broome Memorial School, a primary school in Barbados, and then the Combermere School, where she formed a musical trio with two of her classmates at the age of fifteen. In 2004 she won the Miss Combermere Beauty Pageant. She was an army cadet in a sub-military programme that trained with the military of Barbados and Shontelle was her drill sergeant.

At the age of 15, she formed a girl group with two of her classmates. In 2003, friends introduced Rihanna and her two bandmates to record producer Evan Rogers, who was vacationing in Barbados with his wife. The group auditioned for Rogers, who said that "the minute Rihanna walked into the room, it was like the other two girls didn't exist." While auditioning for Rogers, Rihanna sang Destiny's Child's cover of "Emotion". Over the next year, Rihanna and her mom shuttled back and forth to Rogers home in Stamford, Connecticut. Then, shortly after turning 16, she relocated in the United States and moved in with Rogers and his wife. Carl Sturken helped Rihanna record a four-song demo, which included the ballad "The Last Time," a cover of Whitney Houston’s hit "For the Love of You" and what would become her first hit, "Pon de Replay" to send to various recording companies. It took a year to record the demos, because she was going to school and would only record during summer and Christmas school breaks. Rihanna's demo made its way to Def Jam, which invited her to audition for the label's then-president, Jay-Z, who quickly signed her.

Rihanna broke into the recording industry in 2005 with the release of her debut album Music of the Sun, which features the number 2 hit single "Pon de Replay". Less than a year later, Rihanna released A Girl Like Me and earned her first number-one single, "SOS, which sampled the popular 80s track "Tainted Love". "Unfaithful" was also released and was fairly successful.

Rihanna released her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, in June 2007. Prior to the release of the album, she spent the week of the Grammys writing songs for the album with Ne-Yo. She adopted a more sexual image while recording the album, eventually dying her hair black and cutting it short. Rihanna worked with Timbaland and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, as well as previous musical collaborators such as Stargate, Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers to re-imagine her album compositions with uptempo dance tracks. Rihanna commented, "I want to keep people dancing but still be soulful at the same time. You feel different every album, and [at] this stage I feel like I want to do a lot of uptempo [songs]."

The album topped the charts in countries like the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Russia and Ireland, and peaked at number two in the United States and Australia. Unlike previous work, the album featured a more dance-pop sound instead of the dancehall, reggae and ballad styles. The album received positive reviews by critics, becoming her most critically acclaimed album at that time compared to her previous efforts.

It yielded eight hit singles - "Umbrella" "Shut Up and Drive", "Don't Stop the Music" "Hate That I Love You" "Rehab" "Disturbia" "Take a Bow" "If I Never See Your Face Again" - all singles reaching the top twenty on the Billboard Hot 100 — including the worldwide number-one hit "Umbrella," featuring Jay-Z.

In addition to reaching number one in various countries, "Umbrella" was the number one single in the United Kingdom for ten consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running number-one single since Wet Wet Wet's single "Love Is All Around" spent fifteen weeks at the top in 1994. The song is listed number three on the 100 Best Songs of 2007 published by Rolling Stone magazine. In 2008, "Umbrella" earned Rihanna and Jay-Z a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in addition to receiving nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. It managed to stay at number one in the United Kingdom for 10 weeks, the longest time spent by a female and in the 21st century, on this chart.

"Umbrella" has also been recognised in various forms of accolades by the music press. The song is listed number three on the 100 Best Songs of 2007, published by the music magazine Rolling Stone. Time magazine also listed the song number three on their Top 10 Songs of 2007. The song is listed number one on Entertainment Weekly magazine's list of the 10 Best Singles of 2007, while topping the magazine's poll for the best single of 2007. Blender magazine awarded the song Song of the Year in their Readers' Poll 2007. The music press has considered "Umbrella" as 2007's Song of the Summer, while The New York Times writer Kelefa Sanneh regarded it as "arguably 2007's signature slow jam".

Rihanna is finishing up recording of her upcoming fourth album, which is slated for a late-Fall release. Play.com has confirmed that the album will be released on November 23, 2009 whereas Amazon.co.uk has said that the album will be released November 16, 2009. She will be in the studio with Tricky, The-Dream, Stargate, Ne-Yo and SRP in the coming weeks.

In August 2009, Rihanna collaborated with Jay-Z and Kanye West on "Run This Town." The song has so far peaked at number three on Billboard Hot 100 and also reached the top ten in five other countries. Rihanna has also been working on her fourth studio album. She appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia for the September 2009 Issue. The shoot was influenced by Rihanna's hair, which she had cut for the shoot into a mohawk-like style. The style of the shoot was Extreme Couture and very dark, and in one shot she appeared semi-nude. Rihanna performed "Run This Town" along with Jay-Z and West for the "Answer the Call" concert at Madison Square Garden in September 2009, making it her first musical performance since the altercation with Brown. The trio also performed "Run This Town," on the premiere of The Jay Leno Show on September 14, 2009.

In November of 2009, "Rated R" was released in the wake of a physical altercation with romantic interest Chris Brown, who pled guilty to felony assault. The album's lead single, "Russian Roulette" -- written with Ne-Yo - was one of the year's most controversial singles.

One year later, Rihanna released her fifth studio album called "Loud'. It's lead single, "Only Girl (In the World)", reached number one in more than ten countries. The song also won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

"Talk That Talk" was released one year later after "Loud" be released. With the song "We Found Love", Rihanna became the fastest solo artist in the chart's history to achieve twenty Hot 100 top-ten singles, breaking the previous record set by Madonna. The song later became her eleventh number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. "You Da One" became the second single from the album and was not as successful as "We Found Love". The third single from the album was announced on Rihanna's Twitter. The title track featuring Jay-Z. A music video is rumored to be in the works.

In 2012, the singer will appear in the movie "Battleship", which is based on the game of the same name.

On February 20, 2012, Rihanna and Chris Brown released 2 remixes featuring the other: Birthday Cake & Turn Up The Music

Rihanna's seventh album, Unapologetic was released on November 19, 2012; it was preceded by the lead single Diamonds, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming Rihanna's twelfth number one single on the chart and tying her with Madonna and The Supremes for the fourth-most number ones in the chart's history.

The paladin radio project

Paladin radio is seeking new artist and music to play.

First off we are not going to ask you for any money. I know pay for play is alive and well on the web but we don't want your money. What we want is for you to promote yourself shamelessly and use our name and resources to do it.

See the more content a website has the more it gets found on the web. This equals more listeners for all of us. If I had 10 or more artist giving me a blog post every day we would be a force to be reckoned with on the web. This also goes for cross support on face book and twitter. Now this also takes on a whole new dimension when you add the use of simple flyer's into the mix. I know every artist has a fan base of some kind. Now when your getting these flyer's out showing your supported by a radio station it helps, but if there is a ton of artist doing this all over the world this would be an advertising force that would make some big labels jealous.

So here is what we do for you.
play your music
give you a place other than YouTube to have your videos
let you promote you self all day long on this blog that you can post the links on your social media
make you an original cross promotional flyer to put out locally
give you support on social media

what we ask of you?
give us the music to play
give us the videos links
do your daily post what your thinking, doing and give us pics even video blogs if you want.
put out the flyer's. yes that's the only one that cost you a little money for copies.
Lastly support us as much as we support you on social media.

If this sounds like something you want to be part of just click the link below and we will get started.

Walmart, Gap & H&M: Protect factory workers against deadly fires like the ones that killed 122 people this weekend in Bangladesh.

Sign Lovely's Petition

Paladin radio listeners-

My name is Lovely* and I live in Bangladesh. This weekend, my worst nightmare came true. Ever since I survived a fire in a garment factory I worked in when I was 11, I've wondered when the next deadly fire would happen.

A few days ago, a fire killed at least 122 people who were working in a factory that was making clothing for Walmart outside the capital, Dhaka. There were no emergency exits and no evacuation plan. People burned to death. It was my worst nightmare come true.

I started a petition on Change.org because I think American companies like Walmart can save others from suffering like me and the 700 people who have died in factory fires in Bangladesh in the past 7 years. Please sign my petition calling on Walmart and the largest retailers that buy Bangladeshi apparel to commit to a real fire safety program that is legally binding, transparent and empowers workers to fight for our own safety.

Already, two American companies -- Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein -- have joined a comprehensive fire safety program for workers in Bangladesh. The program is transparent, includes worker input and is legally binding. It will keep workers like me safe and give workers' families legal rights if fires do happen.

The fires that do occur happen because most companies that buy the clothing we make don't talk to us workers about what we need for our own safety. Instead, they abandon us when factories like the one I worked in don't pass inspections. But we don't stop being in danger -- the companies just stop feeling responsible for our safety.

Companies like Walmart, Gap and H&M can join Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein to save lives in Bangladesh. But only if we call on them to do so right now. Please join me in calling on the top buyers from Bangladesh to do the right thing by signing my petition now.

Thank you.

Lovely from Bangladesh

Defeat the planet-killing trade deal -- amazing response!

Amazing response -- we've upped our goal to really kill this trade deal -- here's our chance to do it!
Dear friends,

A secret deal could allow China’s energy companies to take over an enormous toxic oil reserve with devastating consequences for the planet. A lawsuit is our big chance to stop it. Click to chip in and Avaaz will only process your donation if we raise enough money to make this important case happen:

Pledge now
Right now, the tar sands, a toxic oil reserve almost the size of Saudi Arabia's but over 3 times as dangerous for climate change, sits landlocked in Northern Canada. People power has twice blocked new pipelines into this poison, but now we have a bigger challenge.

A new trade deal, negotiated in secret with China, could allow China's companies to take over the tar sands and sue the Canadian government if it hampers their exploitation with environmental or health laws. Canada's right-wing Prime Minister is an oil-man with a history of climate-denial, and he's using this tactic to bypass democracy, with potentially devastating consequences for the planet.

Our big chance to stop this is that the deal may not be legal. It's likely to be signed in the coming days or weeks and we need to be ready to hit back when that happens. If tens of thousands of us pledge now to help hire outstanding lawyers and fund research and public campaigning, we can be sure to hit the ground running when the government acts -- Avaaz will only process the pledge if we get enough to make this important case happen. Our climate is already under grave threat, and tar sands could push it over the edge. Pledge now to defend the planet:

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/canada_fipa_pledge_nrc_rb/?bHWUidb&v=19982

Tar sands oil would harm all of us: The emissions from this dirty oil are up to 35% greater than regular crude oil, the process for getting it out of the ground alone emits three times the pollution, and the production of one gallon of oil poisons up to 35 gallons of fresh water. Not to mention that the exposure of another huge oil reserve would skyrocket the destruction of our planet.

That's why experts and campaigners all over joined the fight to stop pipelines from being built in the US and Canada that would unlock this toxic sludge from the ground. Now those hard-fought victories could be wiped out.

We have already reached out to one of the top constitutional law firms in Canada and they are standing by to help us fight this dirty deal. But it's going to take a powerful legal fund to stand up to the government's deep pockets, campaign to win in the court of public opinion and make sure we keep dirty oil in the ground. Let's all pledge our support now. Then, if the deal goes through, we'll be able to get started right away defending our planet in Canada's courts. Chip in to join the fight for our planet:

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/canada_fipa_pledge_nrc_rb/?bHWUidb&v=19982

We've taken on the Canadian government before, and won -- striking a blow against a Fox News-style television network and beating back attempts to stop Canadian Avaaz members from campaigning during federal elections. This is our chance to win a battle for the entire world's survival against a trade deal that threatens our water, air and land.

With hope and determination

Dalia, Ricken, Emma, Morgan, Rewan, Ari, Grant and the rest of the Avaaz team
